Attention Calgary Readers:
CEP Calgary
Join Connecting Environmental Professionals Calgary for their upcoming event on how we build resilience, sustainability, and climate adaptation into our built environment.
The event will start with an overview of how building codes are being used by private developers for new builds and retrofits, as well as what existing motivations there are to build ‘above code’. They will then look at case studies of municipalities and buildings to examine the benefits and tradeoffs of incorporating risk management and emergency management in design.
Experts Susan Kapetanovic-Marr (JLL) and Kerrie Green (Body Collab) will join us in this discussion, with lots of time for networking and merriment! The event will be on Nov 19 from 3:30-5:30 PM at Bankers Hall and a $10 ticket also gets you snacks and drinks!

The 2024 Building for Sustainability Symposium
Last month, alongside BOWDA, we hosted our second annual Building for Sustainability Symposium at the beautiful Malcolm Hotel. It was a sold out event where 175 people joined us for two days of excellent presentations, discussion, and collaboration on how to build for sustainability. We're immensely grateful to all our participants, sponsors, and volunteers who helped us bring the event together.
