Coming to Canmore early September!

The Canmore Residential Food Waste Collection Pilot Program is starting on September 3rd!

Canmore residents can pick up a free starter kit, which contains a kitchen food waste bin, from the Front Desk of the Civic Centre and Public Works anytime during regular business hours.

Staff and volunteers are also handing out starter kits and information at the Mountain Market, Elevation Place and grocery stores on select dates over the next few weeks. The Town of Canmore is still looking for volunteers to help with promotion and outreach at these events. Click here to find out more!

Please note - While home starter kits are being handed out now, the neighbourhood collection bins won’t be installed until September 3rd so you won’t be able to divert your food waste until then!
