Building for electric vehicles in the Bow Valley *Virtual Event*

Electric vehicles are here to stay, so how can the development community stay ahead of the curve? Join the Bow Valley Builders & Developers Association (BOWDA) and the Biosphere Institute to welcome electric vehicle (EV) experts Julie McKenna and Ron Groves as they discuss the trends in EV adoption across Canada, explore successful case studies of EV infrastructure installation, and break down what you need to consider in your planned commercial or residential development.

This virtual presentation and Q&A is relevant for BOWDA members, but will be of particular interest to builders and developers curious about the anticipated future of electric vehicles and wondering if they are aware of all the options available to them in planning for and accommodating EV infrastructure. There will be short presentations from each speaker and a chance for a substantive Q&A.

About the speakers:
Julie McKenna is Electrify Canada's Manager of Site Development & Construction. Electrify Canada's goal is to promote greater Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) adoption by offering an ultra-fast and convenient charging network.

Ron Groves' 30-year corporate career has spanned across all aspects of sustainable transportation, including providing consulting services to car rental business owners, developing a sustainable transportation portfolio at Smart Commute, and his most recent stint leading the EV education and outreach program at Toronto-based non-profit Plug 'n' Drive.

This presentation was made possible due to financial support from Natural Resources Canada and the Town of Canmore.
