Help our local water! By painting yellow fish near the storm drains and handing out information pamphlets, we can teach others that “Rain Only” goes down the storm drain.

Project Overview: The Yellow Fish Road Project is a water education program. Established in 1991, the YFRP was created by Trout Unlimited Canada and has since garnered nation-wide awareness that “Rain Only” goes down storm drains. Local children, youth and adults will learn about the path of storm water, how to prevent contamination to the Bow River, paint yellow fish on the sidewalk near neighbourhood storm drains and distribute flyer information to houses. More info below!

Future Leaders is grateful for the project support from the Town of Banff.

Special thanks to the Alberta Conservation Association for supporting this project!

Where will we be?

The green squares represent storm drain catchments. We will follow the route marked in yellow along Muskrat and Caribou streets.
